30-Day Anime Challenge! Day 15: Favorite Animal Sidekick, Pet or Summoning From Any Anime

Hey guys, Samurai here once again with day 15 of the 30-Day Anime Challenge! We are now officially at the halfway point, and looking ahead at the upcoming topics, there’s going to be a lot to write about in the coming days. But, let’s focus on today’s topic–Favorite Animal Sidekick, Pet or Summoning. Sometimes it’s the second-banana that leaves the biggest impact. Heck, look at Pen-Pen from Evangelion or Chamo from Negima! Magister Negi Magi or even Babbit from Kodocha. These characters stand out even when the show is not in any way focused on them. However, for me, there’s just one character that stands out from the pack. One pudgy-wudgy kitty with a pudgy-wudgy tummy who has climbed to the top rug of the corporate and evolutionary ladder to become one of the most admired corporate leaders in the world…and he ain’t even in THIS world. More after the break.

Day 15: Favorite Animal Sidekick, Pet or Summoning From Any Anime —  President Aria from Aria the Animation/Natural/Origination

In the world of fat cats, he’s the top dog. Aria-Sachou is one of the most successful cats in animation, second only to Garfield. I mean, think about it; how many cats do you know that are the president of their own company? Granted, said company only employs two people at any given time, but the fact remains that it is a legitimate business. As president and namesake of Aria Company, Aria-Sachou runs the day-to-day operations with a firm yet gentle paw–overseeing important matters such as food quality control, building upkeep, customer satisfaction and most importantly, the training and conditioning of new hires. The later responsibility he takes on with great gusto–accompanying new employees during their rigorous trainings and practice sessions. Finding time for pleasure as well as business, Aria-Sachou enjoys taking tea at the Cafe Florian, flirting with Hime-Sachou, namesake and fellow president of Himeya Company, and reading the heroic adventures of the Caped Clawed Crusader, Nyan-Nyan-Puu. While other anime sidekicks are just there to look cute, not many of them are as successful as my favorite Pudgy-Wudgy Martian Cat.

Check back tomorrow for Day 16 of the Anime Challenge: “Anime With The Best Animation”
