The Best of 2013: “Best Anime Opening Theme”

Need something to listen to with those obscenely high headphones you got for Christmas this year? Lemme help. Cajun Samurai here again and it’s time to blast some tunes with the Best Anime Opening Theme of 2013! I have to admit, this one was a little difficult as there were quite a few really good openings to pick from. But I think I got one that will satisfy!

Best Anime Opening Theme of 2013: “Mōsō★Kōkan Nikki” [Delusion★Exchange Diary]  by  Otome Shintō [From Good Job Club]

What kind of opening would be suitable for a show that is about a bunch of guys hanging around a club room not doing much of anything? Yep. This one will fit. It’s very peppy, very energetic, and the animation that plays over it kind of puts me in the mind of “Motteke! Sailor Fuku”–there’s even a little small chibi-dance towards the beginning. The entire song is awesome to listen to while driving […don’t ask me how I know…] and rocks on longer than the TV version. So yeah, you can’t get much better than GJ-BU with regards to openings.

Runner Up: “Lull~ Soshite Bokura wa” by Ray [From Nagi no Asukara]

Great song and awesome animation. That’s all I can really say about “Lull~ Soshite Bokura Wa”. It’s a very well done opening, and the song, with a slight taste of auto-tune added, gives the whole show an atmosphere that follows long after the song is over. It’s very well done. Now let’s see what we’re given for the second season…
