Six Degrees of Anime Separation Results…and New Challenge!

Okay guys! Looks as though nobody was able to answer my challenge where I asked readers to link Saints Head Coach Sean Payton to anime V/A Steven Blum. Too difficult maybe? Well, here’s one of many possible solutions:

  • Sean Payton is head coach of the New Orleans Saints, of which Quarterback Drew Brees is a member…
  • Drew Brees appeared in a “It Gets Better” anti-bullying ad with actor George Takei
  • George Takei voiced an animated version of himself on the show “Futurama” with Maurice LaMarche
  • Maurice LaMarche played Omri and Amos in a direct-to-video animated show called “K10C: Kids’ Ten Commandments” with Mona Marshall who played Miriam, Ephraim, and Hannah…
  • Mona Marshall played Terriermon in “Digimon Tamers” with Steven Blum who played Guilomon.

Bummer! But, perhaps, I made it a little too hard…What say we try that again then? Only this time, because this is Risembool Ranger month, we make it make it a little easier. As I’m planning to do 3 reviews this month, the winner gets to make me work even harder and pick a 4th series or movie for me to disect from the below list [No, no fooling either! This is legit! What, you don’t trust me?]:

“D.N.Angel”
“Fullmetal Alchemist”
“Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood”

“Aquarion Age: Sign For Evolution”
“Axis Powers Hetalia”
“Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu!”

“Titanic” [Yes…THAT “Titanic”. Leo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, etc…etc…and if you have to ask why, then just look at the date!]
“5 Centimeters per Second”
“Akira”
‘Clannad (Movie)”
“Cowboy Bebop: Tengoku no Tobira [Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heavens Door]“
“Dead Leaves”
“Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!”
“Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaea”
“Eureka Seven: Pocket Full of Rainbows”

Your new challenge: in six steps or less, link musician Bruno Mars to anime voice actor Vic Mignogna.

Remember, you only have six links, and it’s the most creative that will get the nod! Leave your answers in the Comment Box below with each step numbered along with the show or movie you wish to have reviewed and by whom. If you need help getting started, scroll to the bottom of this review where I give an example by linking a President and a Power Ranger. Here’s a hint, use Wiki-Power, and you can never go wrong!

WITHOUT EXCEPTION all results MUST be in no later than April 14th which will allow me time to watch the series or movie and get the review typed up before the end of the month.

Good luck and have fun!

  1. – Vic Mignogna has worked for ADV/Seraphim Digital
    – ADV/Seraphim Digital worked with Warner Bros
    – Warner Bros’ subsidary is Atlantic Records
    – And Atlantic Records signed on Bruno Mars!

… Yeah, this is as good as it’s gonna get. I know that some of these aren’t people, but I really don’t know VAs or the people connected to them.

  2. I’ll try to top sweetpea. 😛

    1. Vic Mignogna was in Adventures in Voice Acting with Lance Hendrickson.
    2. Lance Hendrickson starred in the television series “Millennium,” with Terry O’Quinn.
    3. Terry O’Quinn had an uncredited role in “Old School,” which featured Snoop Dog.
    4. Snoop Dog rapped on Bruno Mars’ song, “Young, Wild, and Free,”

    Boo yah.

If you’ll take my entry over sweetpea’s, here’s my choice:

Let’s go old school – please review “Hadashi no Gen [Barefoot Gen]“

  3. so here we go, and bear with me:
1.Bruno Mars was Little Elvis in Honeymoon in Vegas, which starred James Caan as Tommy Korman.
2.James Caan was in the 1975 movie the Killer Elite with Robert Duvall.
3.Robert Duvall starred in Secondhand Lions with Travis Willingham, who played a bit-part hood.
4.Travis Willingham is Roy Mustang in Full Metal Alchemist… which stars Vic Mignogna as Edward Elric!

Oh, and hm; please review “Dead Leaves”, should you choose my submission. 😀
